Mayor Price looks on as the tree is hoisted.
Fort Worth is getting into the Christmas spirit with preparation of the city's Christmas tree.

FORT WORTH, TX (Catholic Online) - The 55-foot tall blue spruce tree was imported from Michigan and arrived on Monday morning with a crew and Mayor Betsy Price on hand. The crew hoisted the tree during a morning ceremony on Main and Third streets.

Over the next several days, the crew will decorate the tree in a nutcracker theme with more than 5,000 energy-saving LED lights and other decorations. The lighting ceremony will take place on Nov. 25 immediately following the Chesapeake Energy Parade of Lights.
