Excited parishioners line up in droves to get a glimpse of their new church.
Parishioners of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church on Sunday stood in bone-chilling cold to have a glimpse of their new parish church.

FORT WORTH, TX (Catholic Online) - The new church replaces the old, which was lost in a 2007 fire. The new church can hold 1,100 people, up from 450 in the previous sanctuary.

The faithful surprised everyone with their turnout, but they would not be denied their chance to see the new church despite the long line and cold. Entire families who couldn't get seats, bundled themselves up and patiently waited outside as Bishop Kevin Farrell performed the rite of dedication.

The new church was raised at a cost of $8 million, of which $6 million has already been paid to date. Proud parishioners continue to work to raise the balance as they begin enjoying their new church.
