Fort Worth's memorial to President JFK may need one more boost before it can start construction. The community has already raised more than $1 million for the project, but bids exceed that amount by more than $300,000.

FORT WORTH, TX (Catholic Online) - The city has managed to cut about $100,000 in costs for the project and has secured an additional $100,000 in pledges, but still has $100,000 to go before the monument will be fully funded.

Already, the project is going to be delayed but managers are hopeful that it can be completed before the 50th anniversary of Kennedy's visit in 2013.

Once completed, the memorial will include a larger-than-life sculpture of Kennedy along with a waterfall and a tribute wall.
