Most downtown dwellers cite lifestyle as their reason for living in the city.
According to a survey by the nonprofit Downtown Fort Worth Inc., the most likely person to live in the downtown area is a woman ages 25 to 34, and the most common reason to live there is lifestyle.

FORT WORTH, TX (Catholic Online) - The results show that 2.4 percent more females than males live in the downtown Fort Worth area and most of them are young adults. The survey has shown similar results since 2006.

Most women interviewed said they prefer the downtown area because of its central location. Many say they work nearby and living in the downtown area ensures a short commute.

Others simply said they prefer urban living.

The majority of the residents, 61.6 percent are unmarried, but this is down from three years ago when the figure was 65 percent.
