The Fort Worth school district will be given a reward for anti-bullying on Wednesday.
The National Conference on Bullying will award the Fort Worth school district for its efforts to cease bullying, on Wednesday.

The conference, located in Sarasota, Florida, will have 12 schools, districts, and/or programs receiving an award. More than 85 nominations were sent to the School Safety Advocacy Council to receive the award.

The It's Not Okay program, launched in Fort Worth last year, aims to fight bullying in schools by educating teachers, students, and parents on the issue. Plans to expand the anti-bullying efforts were announced recently by district officials. Also, in June, of last year, the school district added protection for students, as well as employees, based on "gender identity and expression."
